Get your outdoor gear ready – it’s National Hiking Day!

Also known as “Take A Hike Day,” November 17th is the day to get motivated and get outdoors. At Sagecliffe, we’ve planned the perfect way to make the most of 154 acres of land around our Resort. Every Saturday during November, we have been and will be hosting free guided walks.

Established by the American Hiking Society with the hope of encouraging people to explore the wild, National Hiking Day is a celebration of the 60,000 miles of trails in the country. It’s a day to escape the city and suburbs and rebuild our connection with nature – which is great for our minds and bodies too.

We’re inviting guests, non-guests and locals for free-to-attend guided hikes every Saturday in November. We welcomed Lauren Lusuegro for the first few weekends to guide our hikes, she is qualified in MOFA (mountaineering-oriented first aid), CPR trained and a graduate of Seattle’s mountaineer basic climbing course. Lauren comments:

“Hiking is a great way to appreciate nature with the added benefits of improving cardiovascular health, strength and balance. Hiking relieves stress and boosts mental health through the release of your body’s natural endorphins.”
