At Sagecliffe Resort & Spa, our commitment to sustainability has just reached an exciting new milestone. We are proud to announce that we’ve received a $2.5 million grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce as part of the Climate Commitment Act. This funding will help us take a significant step towards our goal of becoming a 100% green resort.
What Will the Grant Be Used For?
The grant will support the installation of a 1 MW dual-use solar project at our vineyard to generate clean energy. The solar panels will not only power our operations but also provide shade and wind protection for our new commercial beehives. This approach, known as agrivoltaics, allows us to support pollinators, wildlife, and the environment while producing green energy.
