Nashville Hitmakers Event
On June 3rd, we hope you join us for an evening of original hit songs, performed live by the men who wrote them. It promises to be a time of great sounds, interesting stories of the song origins, and excellent musicianship.

All the way from Nashville, Even Stevens, Mike Loudermilk, Wynn Varble and James Dean Hicks will be at Sagecliffe Resort, overlooking the Columbia Gorge and next door to the Gorge Amphitheater. These award-winning songwriters have (combined) written for the likes of The Charlie Daniels Band, Conway Twitty, Crystal Gayle, Kenny Rogers, The Oak Ridge Boys, Eddie Rabbitt, Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, Trace Adkins, Tracy Lawrence and Blake Shelton will be on stage to perform their number one hits for you and tell you the stories of how they came to be. Local favorite, Chris Ward who was a demo singer for Even Stevens, Kim Williams, Dean Dillion, Aaron Barker and many others will also be joining them, as well.
Even Stevens
Even’s songwriting career crosses many stylistic boundaries, from Dr. Hook of the rock band Dr. Hook’s multi-platinum international hit “When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman” to longtime collaborator and superstar Eddie Rabbitt’s three-week-running #1 Pop, Country, and Adult Contemporary hit “I Love A Rainy Night”.
Mike Loudermilk
Most of Mike Loudermilk’s life has been spent creating music. He began his musical career when guitar virtuoso Chet Atkins recorded his first song, an instrumental, and asked him to join the session in Nashville.
Wynn Varble
Wynn Varble acknowledges that a career in country music must have been in his future. Wynn was nurtured in the small Georgian village of Ellenwood, where music played a significant role in his upbringing. He remembers the hours he spent listening to legendary country musicians.
James Dean Hicks
James was born and raised on a farm in Kentucky, and at the age of 10, he started traveling to Nashville to play with Ernest Tubb, Roy Acuff, and other artists. He has created songs for a wide range of musicians since relocating to Nashville. Just a few artists include Wynonna, Lonestar, Charlie Daniels, Crystal Gayle, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Miley Cyrus, Aaron Neville, Reba McIntyre, Kenny Rogers, Alison Krause, Conway Twitty, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Aaron Neville.
